Update - Mid January 2014

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” ― Nikola Tesla
“The words Collective Wave were born from the understanding of music... Music as vibration, vibration as sound, sound as light, physical and spiritual patterns… all coming together through a harmonial frequency which carries and expands information in order to create and move forward, to then create and move forward. This is a collective of waves.”

2014 began strong! Full of energy and ready for what ever comes forth and what ever we choose to manifest. Every new year comes with improvements and so we will continue to grow towards what we believe...

After many hours of traveling we are back in Quito. We headed out to the coast of Ecuador from January 5th to the 13th. We went to Canoa, volunteered at the Rio Muchacho Orgánic Farm and then ended up in Montañita for the weekend.

It was all an amazing learning experience and it is bringing us closer to our sustainable and resilient goals.

Update- December 2013

Happy New Year! We are very excited to welcome 2014...

Everything is connected...

Listen while you read... Baylando Records - EL Kool Kyle

Ohhh YES! and here we are, a new year coming up with new adventures...! Personally, this year I am connecting with nature. Being with nature these last few weeks has been full of wonders... There is so much to learn and it is very exciting.

RE:

+ Sub-projects for Collective Wave:

- Kitchen Garden
- Proper Disposal of Waste Plan
- Urban Land
- Abuelito's Farm
- Fundación Cambugán's Farm

+ Highly recommended learning Institutes for resilient communities.

This is what Collective Wave is all about. These Institutes are very literal in terms of radically changing the way society lives and helps create alternative ways of conscious, sustainable and regenerative living. See below...

---------------------------------------------------------
*Kitchen Garden

At my Mom's house there is a nice and spacious patio. (Observing) The walls of the patio are covered with beautiful vines. We cut some excess of these vines for it to not take over the rest of the space. (Produce no waste) We learned that the excess of vines can be dried and used as mulch or for compost. Thus, we have started a Kitchen Garden for our family. We began by drying these chopped pieces of vines in different artistic shapes while accumulating food waste for sheet-mulching. We used the following material for sheet-mulching: Dry vines, food waste, some soil and earthwarms gifted from the Fundación Cambugan's farm in Pintag. Our next move is to build the garden bed and start thinking about what to plant. Fava beans has been recommended to be planted first, for it will help the soil with nitrogen.

Collective Wave in Ecuador

Collective Wave is an Audiopharmacy project. Its mission is to radically built and establish a self-reliant & sustainable family/community in order to create an alternative way of life, a new model for society. This action helps heal the planet from today's ecological crisis as well as establishing a healthy environment and a just society for future generations to come.

Audiopharmacy Prescriptions is a San Francisco-based international art collective featuring a plethora of talented musicians, dancers, DJs, photographers, writers, community activists, event organizers and healers. With collective members residing in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, each artist brings a unique view of consciousness, empowerment, & respect for life in every creative endeavor shared with the world. The collective is dedicated to support a movement that catalyzes collaborative work among the members of the AP collective, as well as other artists, who are interested in building community through the arts. We envision our collective to be a bridge that nurtures cross-cultural projects & friendships that promotes collaborative artistic endeavors as vessels for the flourishing of a sustainability consciousness of our planet.  APP projects include SNAG (Seventh Native American Generation) - a youth media program, The NEST (Native Education and Sustainability Training), the World Bridge Project and Collective Wave.

Therefore, information studied in school, internet, books, and life experiences has been an inspiration for the birth and growth of the Collective Wave project. Below are selected resources of information for a complete understanding regarding global issues and immediate solutions to regenerate the planet and establish a healthy future for next generations.

Collective Wave in San Francisco

San Francisco Urban Agriculture Alliance
The San Francisco Urban Agriculture Alliance (SFUAA) promotes the growing of food within San Francisco and the associated goals of our member organizations, through advocacy, education, and grassroots action.
We pursue our mission by leveraging the strengths of our members, from backyard farmers to social justice organizations, both within the alliance and in collaboration with outside organizations and governmental agencies.

San Francisco Goodwill
In a given year, SFGoodwill diverts more than 20 million pounds from local landfills – the equivalent of 15 football fields – helping San Francisco achieve its ambitious zero waste goals and keeping the Bay Area one of the greenest regions in the U.S.  Ongoing partnerships with the San Francisco Department of Environment reflect the beneficial role SFGoodwill plays in current and future planning around landfill waste reduction.

Recology San Francisco
Recology manages municipal disposal processes and services that span the needs of urban, suburban and rural communities. Our services include urban cleaning services, collection, sorting, transfer, recovery and landfill management.
WASTE ZERO is our rallying cry to make the best and highest use of all resources. Our commitments are to provide first-class customer service, to positively contribute to the quality of life within the communities we serve and to reduce our negative impacts on the environment. Our achievements are driven by our awareness of the impact on our children, the communities we serve and the planet we all share.

San Francisco Department of Environment
The San Francisco Department of the Environment (SF Environment) creates visionary policies and innovative programs that promote social equity, protect human health, and lead the way toward a sustainable future. We put our mission into action by mobilizing communities and providing the resources needed to safeguard our homes, our city, and ultimately our planet.

NERT Neighborhood Emergency Response Team
The underlying premise is that a major disaster will overwhelm first responders leaving many citizens on their own for the first 72 hours or longer after the emergency. Our goal is to teach as many San Franciscans as possible that, with basic training, they can make a difference in the lives of their families and others when, not if, they are affected by a disaster large or small.

Urban Permaculture Institute of San Francisco
Permaculture is often called 'the cultivated ecology' because of its goal to integrate and transform human societies so they live in sustainably designed and highly productive ecosystems where self interest is aligned with the common good

SF Green Party - 10 key values
The San Francisco Green Party is part of a large and growing grassroots electoral movement, which is attempting to restore the democratic process and put people in office who truly are working in the best interests of the majority. Only by doing this can we solidify progress, and prevent the rollback of the gains made by society.
We are a part of the Green Party of California, which is part of the Green Party of the United States, one of many Green Parties around the world.

College of Environmental Design - UC Berkley
For over half a century, CED has paved the way for transformative design and research, work that has made a difference in our environment and society. The first school in the country to combine architecture, landscape architecture and planning into a single college, CED similarly views environmental design as inseparable from its social, political, economic, and cultural contexts. The college produces creative and skilled professionals who share the values of sustainability, design excellence, social equity and environmental justice, economic vitality and community engagement.
