Arrival in Ecuador

We have arrived in Quito, Ecuador!

Thus, we began Phase One.

Below, we will review our timeline, tasks, and goals in Phase One. Note that some changes have been made, as we have adjusted accordingly to the flow here in Quito.

Phase One

-18 Nov: Cleo and Joshua arrive in Quito
-21 Nov: Meeting with Carmen of Fundación Cambugán, visit land in Pintag - organic farm
-22 Nov: Meeting with Javier of Red Semillas
-22 Nov: Members of Audiopharmacy live ensemble (Teao, Pasha, Ras K Dee) arrive in Quito
-23 Nov: Audiopharmacy performs at the Barrio 593 Hip-Hop Festival
-30 Nov: Audiopharmacy performs at Cría Cuervos Playroom, with Tripulación de Osos (Quito) and Macho Muchacho (Guayaquil)

* Fundación Cambugán - Pintag

Members of Fundaciíon Cambugán give us a tour of their location in Pintag, where they are currently working on reforestation and practicing agroforestry, amongst other sustainable agricultural practices, organic farming and permaculture practices. Looking forward to volunteer here soon..

* Red Semillas - Ilaló/Tumbaco

We met with Javier Carrera, a respected permaculture teacher in all Ecuador. He shared with us a lot of information about Red Semillas and their accomplishments as well as future projects. We look forward in volunteering in become members of Red Semillas

Other materials used for this building include eucalyptus trees (found onsite), bamboo, cement...

...and recycled glass bottles!
