Dinner
Collective Wave Project Info Presentation

The main intention of this dinner is to reconnect with our friends & family in order to share a productive moment of positive intentions, ideas, personal experiences, and even the possibility of planning ahead the next 5 to 10 years… But overall the intention is to appreciate all the love, support and growth of our family. We know first comes the family... a healthy, honest, respectful family full of love and creativity goes a long way… We are here for each other… for the children.

The secondary intention with this dinner is to raise funds for the Collective Wave project in Ecuador. When it comes to money, it is very uncomfortable to ask for that type of help to anybody. However, through this dinner we will have a space to meet, share our intentions, have dinner, dance and be part of the Collective Wave projectsupport our departure to Ecuador and

Collective Wave is an Audiopharmacy Prescription project. Its mission is to build and establish a resilient family city in the country of Ecuador, creating an alternative way of life in order to become a healthy model for society. Based on permaculture principles, we look forward in becoming a self-reliant & sustainable family/community. This action helps heal the planet from today's ecological crisis as well as establishing a healthy environment and a just society for future generations to come.

ABOUT AUDIOPHARMACY PRESCRIPTIONS
Audiopharmacy Prescriptions is a San Francisco-based international art collective featuring a plethora of talented musicians, dancers, DJs, photographers, writers, community activists, event organizers and healers. With collective members residing in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, each artist brings a unique view of consciousness, empowerment, & respect for life in every creative endeavor shared with the world. The collective is dedicated to support a movement that catalyzes collaborative work among the members of the AP collective, as well as other artists, who are interested in building community through the arts. We envision our collective to be a bridge that nurtures cross-cultural projects & friendships that promotes collaborative artistic endeavors as vessels for the flourishing of a sustainability consciousness of our planet. APP projects include SNAG (Seventh Native American Generation) - a youth media program, The NEST (Native Education and Sustainability Training), and the World Bridge Project. The collective provides visual & audio healing all geared to soothe the senses and feed the soul.

Lead Audiopharmacy members of the Collective Wave Project in Ecuador:
Cleo Fung - Event Design & Production, Sculptor, Sustainable Design, Natural Builder
Cleo Fung was exposed early on to the ecological challenges of the world through education. Since high school, Cleo has been actively volunteering and participating in programs that addressed these challenges by providing solutions such as reduce, reuse, & recycling, basic sustainability practices she can do in life, and learning where trash goes and its impacts to the environment and the health of people. This led her to go do her college work at Evergreen - a progressive, public Liberal Arts & Sciences college located in Olympia, Washington to study environmental studies. Her time there helped her better understood the delicate relationship of the natural world and with ourselves and took classes in sustainable design. Cleo changed her major to art (another true love), but initially had a hard time finding her place in the art world. She love to create art, but was torn by the impact of how creating & producing art created "more things" in the world that may eventually add to the trash heap. She was especially challenged because a lot of materials included chemicals that harmed the planet. She eventually found her niche through a mentor teaching stone carving. Cleo says that stones are already present here, and creating art on them doesn't require the manufacturing of more things. She wants to go to Ecuador to attempt an alternative way of life because, and I quote, "the current state of affairs here is just not working with the way I want to live". She hopes to learn a lot more about permaculture. What she wants to take away from this journey is a change in some personal priorities in life that are more self-serving and to learn how to give and be a part of a community.

Joshua Saenz - Event Design & Production, Permaculture Design
Joshua, a native Ecuadorian, and one of our leading voices in the permaculture movement of the collective has spent the last 3 years learning more about the importance of re:generating Mama Earth and decided that he was going to radically change the way he thought, ate, and lived to reduce the impact he is personally making. Since then he has shared the importance of sustainability with the community and has inspired many of us, myself included, to really think and act more consciously. With a desire to get back to the root of existence, he's cultivated an understanding of the basics in life and is learning how to be self-sufficient. In 2012, Joshua decided that he needed to return back home to Ecuador and use the 120 acres of land a friend owns close to the city of Oatavalo to establish a city built on the principles of permaculture, mutual respect for each other and Mama Earth, and the importance of art to uplift, inspire, and activate the consciousness needed sustain the human spirit through these trying times.
