Garden / Oakland #123

Update Night Tonight #123

Ladies & Gentlemen..

Last Saturday 02/09/13, we had the opportunity to work on the Garden in Oakland. Thank you to everyone that lives in the Oakland residence, who is giving their backyard, their energy, tools and materials, plus the opportunity to be part of the garden and very importantly, the opportunity to learn how to make all this happen.

We worked on the following:

- Completed the second "bed" on the right side of the photo above.
- Completed the first stage of building the fence, which will protect the garden form the family-dogs.

Details:
- Volunteers: 4-5
- Hours: 3  2pm-5pm
- Traveling Time: 2 hours from SF and back
- Material: Wood, fence, metal stand for fence
- Tools: Shovel, Drill, Saw, Pole shovel
- Costs: To be calculated by the hosts of the Garden

I am excited to mention that we got a lot done and looking forward to come back to Oakland soon. I will post up to date information about the Oakland Garden in terms of, what days we will work, what materials, and what are the next stages.

Next Friday Feb. 15th we will start working on the garden in San Francisco. Our Hosts, who will share their backyard for the SF Garden will be: Javi, Lindsey, and their roommates. This will give many the opportunity to many to attend to this Garden, since it is in SF and in a very convenient location.

Details
Address: 20th @ Lincoln (Sunset)
Time: 12pm

I will personally step by Javi's house tomorrow Monday to measure and take pictures of the space in order to create a graph structure of the garden and calculate which material and how much do we need. I will need help searching for material, so please let me know if you have some time. I might seem a little accelerated with these garden projects. However, I believe if just start doing them, then somehow they will be completed..
