Aló! Hope everyone had a great week. I personally have been excited with everything that is happening this year and can’t wait to complete it.
A side from the events that we are participating with this month, we need to start planning our own in order to raise funds for our community and prepare for the rest of the year. So far there is opportunities for us to actually raise funds with these month’s events (listed at the end of this message). We can sell some food, such as organic sandwiches for example, or anything that comes in to mind. I know Juancho has a good idea for food. I will do it, but need help though. So, please let me know if you are available on the dates shown at the end of this letter.
Moreover, I will design the events for this summer. Big events! I have 2 events in mind. It’s all to raise funds for our community. Please be prepared to plan your summer accordingly. We will all need each other full time. And, please, please, please let me know if your are not available. It helps me understand how many people are actually involved with this project and saves a lot of time and energy. No disrespect.
*Preparation for the Summer
This is a review of what needs to be done this summer and what to prepare for. We are working on the following:

- Burning Man Festival (For those who want to go)
*2012 Objectives
By completing the following objectives by the end of the year, we will find ourselves established as a community, a family. These objectives are very important for our lives and our children. We will feel more prepared and with more experience in helping each other, plus making our relationship stronger, full of honesty, respect and love. I personally have never seen, heard or felt anything like what we are doing right now and believe that is very important for our present and future.
So, adding to what is mentioned above *preparation for the summer for this years accomplishments, I would also like to mention about an internship that my friend Aaron brought to my attention, which I am attending in October. Arcosanti, an experimental town in the desert of Arizona, built to embody Paolo Soleri’s concept of arcology – the fusion of architecture with ecology. Plus, I would love it if someone of you can join me for this experience, we will learn together and would be easier to work together in the future. The internship costs $1,550 per person, includes all accommodations and food for a whole month of our stay. There are also scholarships programs provided if you can’t afford it.
Moreover, with all these plans for this year and after completing them. I am planning to go back to Ecuador in December. That means I am going to stay over there. I realized that everything we want to work on, everything we want to create here in SF, we can make it happen over there, cheaper and faster. The original idea was to establish our community here in SF, then move to Ecuador and do it over there79. What I had in mind to spend over here to establish a non-profit business and create a community was at least $50,000, and that’s nothing. We can make it happen, but it wont be much. Here is just so fucking expensive. Anything I buy costs more than what I make an hour. WTF?!!! Plus, everything that I see in my everyday commute, everyday at work… I am just not happy with the way this society is making us live. It’s sad, regardless of all the information is presented to me about the world. I honestly can’t stand it anymore. I don’t want to be negative, or want to be complaining. But, I cant’ live a sustainable life when everything around me is making me do the opposite. Even keeping me away from my family, YOU… I rarely see you…
Therefore, I would like to go back to Ecuador and want to take you with me… We can live a wonderful life over there, working really hard for what we believe, invite others to experience our believes and vice versa. We can make it happen no problem. With what we can do here and the money we make, we can do so much over there. Everything over there is cheaper, plus there is all the resources to be self-sufficient… I have connections, I have my family, I know the land, plus I have approx. $150,000 in property. All this can help us start and establish a great community to start working on a self-sufficient, money-free economy, and 100% sustainable city in the middle of nature. We can build and create anything we would like. Establish and then invite other communities from around the world. We can create events, even festivals, right in the middle of the jungle. A city that respects all the surrounding nature. With all the technology we know now, we can all make it happen. Even if it takes 1000 years. It is a safe future for our children. We can build schools, have natural medicine, our own food and clothes, etc…
We are ready for this and we got nothing to loose. We don’t need experience for any of this. We need commitment with ourselves and understand what we are capable of. I will keep you posted with more info on what are our options to go over there, and hopefully we can all go there this year… who ever wants to go, I don’t want to force anyone.. But think about it, why do we live here? I love this city and learned a lot.. though.. I think I did my time…

3 de Mayo.- Thursday at Tropicana we will have live music with a band from L.A. Buyepongo and SloePoke. Please come by or help spread the word.
5 de Mayo.- Saturday. Day Event at http://ompowersf.com It is a new Yoga-Cycle Studio by the Ball Park. We need lots and lots of men for this event. Please come support, it will be fun, plus great to see you..
12 de Mayo.- Saturday, there is a special event at Nimby. YOGA BASS,http://www.facebook.com/events/124949930942638/ Warehouse in Oakland. All day event. Expected to have around 2000 people. This event is a mini festival. There will be some amazing artists doing workshops, from fire dancing, yoga, salsa dancing (that’s me J), and more… plus, a couple of the best djs in the country in terms of electronic music, if your not familiar you to know about Antennae and Freq Nasty
24 de Mayo.- Thursday, at Tropicana. We will celebrate the Independence of Pichincha, a traditional Ecuadorian Holiday.
May 17th - 21st.- Symbiosis Festival. http://pyramideclipse.com $280 ticket for 4 days. It is expensive. If you can come it would be great. Next to a lake to swim. Kids are free until 12 years old.
