There is a lot happening in the world right now, a lot to be aware of and a lot to prepare for. It is time for us to continue creating our journey and accomplishing our goals. One step at a time they say, we have taken a couple already… though we need to be consistent… Let’s see what we have…
*Successful 2011 New Years Event
I am still excited from our new years event!!! Amazing energy!! Thanks again! It is really impressive to see what we are all capable of. Let’s do it again soon!
Since our last event was mainly focused with getting the family together, forming a crew, and to create a meaningful experience, we did not end up making that much profit. We made $1,600 cash. Which is fine! We weren’t looking for profit. 2-3 days before the event, we received lots of collaborative cash from all of you, which was impressive and exciting.
We had the chance to buy and get everything we needed on time, which gave us the opportunity to have such an amazing event. We spent approximately $5,400. (I have all the receipts and a sheet of calculated costs is attached to this message). It’s a lot of money to create an event, though we won’t need to spend that much for the next one, we have materials we can use again. Plus, we have lots of left over drinks… sweet!
Moreover, we had around 350 people come that night. We received exactly $7,000 total for the 8 hour event. (I counted it together with Jorge Bustamante the next day). Making it an average of $20 per person. Keeping in mind that about 100 of us (including the +1 guests that each of us had) didn’t have to pay for the cover, plus there was also group discounts. We know that next time we can manage this calculation more accurately. Well, we didn’t lose anything, we learned a lot and we had lots and lots of fun. I also got other feedback from some of you guys, which I really appreciate. There is a lot more to learn and improve.
Still, we are all aware of how many hours we have worked to make this event happen. More than what we planned, more than what we could. Definitely not worth the money we made. Although, worth the experience. Again thank you! So, yes we worked hard for it, now we know we can always make it better and worth it on a different level.
Are we ready for the next event? Well, first we need to remember why we want to do these events in the first place as well as establishing a committed crew.
*What Collective Wave Is All About
In order to take action, we need to get to know each other deeply, understand why we want to come together in the first place and why we want to commit towards each other. We need to feel the family. Feeling the family will help us understand ourselves, establish and move forward. Lets review what Collective Wave is all about.
Collective Wave.- The words Collective Wave were born from the understanding of Music. Music as vibration, sound, light and patterns coming together through a frequency becoming harmony and expanding information. A Collective of Waves.
The understanding of Collective Wave guided me to understand myself as a vibration. I associated Music with Nature, the most natural form of communication. I associated myself with nature, and I have learned to appreciate a sustainable life. I learned that nature is in danger. Our planet is in danger. We are nature itself and I am not waiting to see if someone will do anything about it.
Therefore, we act as a Collective of Waves. We act by living a sustainable life and expanding around the world. Even if it is not in our lifetime, a huge musical seed will be planted with healthy information. Though, I also know for a fact that it can actually happen in our lifetime, and I am very happy to know that we have started already.
The main focus of Collective Wave is to learn how to live as a self-sufficient and sustainable community. After we establish we will share this knowledge with others and network with other sustainable communities throughout the globe.
In order to establish the Collective Wave action plan, we will educate ourselves as a sustainable community. Sadly to say, we need to use money to make all of this happen. Though, we are capable of creating capitol money and establish our community, no problem. Eventually, as a sustainable community we won’t need to work for money any more, but just use it as a tool and maybe discontinue its use if we find it necessary to do so.
Personally, I have had different experiences that directed me to the understanding of sustainability, I have learned from other communities with the same ideology, and I have also found information through different resources that I would love to share with you shortly. It is amazing to know that there are other communities and resources sharing this understanding. Originally though, I began learning from each and every one of you. In one way or another, everyone involved in my life had made me understand the value of ourselves, nature, the universe and why we exist. I appreciate that a lot. The interesting part of all this, is that all of this information has been right in front of us for thousands of years, and none of us practice sustainability. My long-time question is why haven’t we applied all this information? Ok, yes.. let’s call it brain washed? – But, I’ve known this information for the last 3 years and I still don’t apply. Why? Ok.. let’s say, It’s hard to go through the transition and to let go of my bad habits. Excuses..! I excuse myself for everything everyday. Well, I am done with it!
Moreover, we need a warehouse space in order to practice sustainable living as a community and to provide services to the Bay Area Community. Providing these “services”, will generate the money tool that will help us establish and maintain our community. There is a number of services we can provide to the Bay Area community in a conscious and sustainable manner. Such as:
- Artistic Coffee Shop
- Wall Expo Photography/Art
- Educational Artistic Kids Events
- Community Merchandise Clothing/Art/Music
- Dance Lessons/Workshops
- Yoga Lessons/Workshops
- Audio/Film Recordings
- Rehearsal Space for bands, dance, theatrical
- Educational / Productive Night life Events
- Day/Night “pop up” dinning events (own garden food/local food)
- Growing our own food and teach others
- Underground Indoor Soccer League (I like this one)
A warehouse is expensive and time consuming for us to get at this moment. In the mean time we can practice sustainability where we live now, until we manage to get a space and we are ready for it. We can start by being conscious about the products we consume, if their packaging is waste, or if the chemicals from certain products are in fact sustainable. We really don’t know where everything comes from and it would be a good time to learn. Local products equals sustainability. Something to consider as well, would be growing food. At least one plant so we can start having an idea of how to do it, if you haven’t already.. J Plus, it adds up big time towards sustainability around the world. Teaching our kids how to grow food is important as well. As soon as kids understand that food keeps them alive, it would be a good time to understand how it grows. Our planet provides beautiful food for us to live with. (I personally just started to learn how to cook! Shocking!)
A opportunity of having a warehouse space or nearby open land will be presented and we will be ready it, specially to share a community garden. One person can produce food for 24 people. Here are some complete helpful resources to start:
Time is Money they say… lets create time for what is worth more than Money… Food.
If you are not interested in growing food, I understand. There are many of us that are and will. Plus, we will appreciate any service that you would love to provide for the community and any idea or expression for that matter.
While we all learn to provide for our community, we learn how to establish sustainable living and eventually looking forward to educate and collaborate with other communities. So yes, we start with ourselves in our little tiny individual apartments. Here is a very helpful, educative video of how to start. 8min. Definitely worth watching.
Allow me to share, that I have learned that our mind works as programmed formulas, and each of us can program our own mind the way we want it. In other words, we can to STOP our bad habits and change it to productive-conscious actions. I am being hard on myself in order to change. I practice to have outstanding memory everyday, which helps me not to make the same mistake again and create new habits, plus it saves me a lot of time. Consistent discipline is key. We might not change from one day to the other, but we can change really fast. We just have to make that decision. I just started to apply all this and find it really helpful. And just to clarify, I am not telling you how you suppose to live your life. I just believe that we can share our lives in an environmentally conscious manner, in the most creative and fun way by taking advantage of our human capability. We are capable of anything by respecting human principles and natures laws. (I’m sharing my own awakening experiences).
Collective Wave is an action that is creating a self-sufficient & sustainable community. Its mission is to expand consciousness and self-awareness. The objective is to heal the earth. Its goal is to create and expand life throughout the Universe.
